Zhavia Talks Life After ‘The Four’ And Her New Single ‘100 Ways’
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Yesterday we told you about Zhavia’s killer new single and video for 100 Ways. This is the third song she’s released from the album she’s been working on since she rocketed to stardom on The Four. People ask us all the time if we know when Zhavia is coming out with new songs. While we don’t know when she’s dropping her album, we can get a glimpse into what she’s been up to after the show.
A little insider info from Talent Recap is that the biggest response we ever got to any of our coverage was for Zhavia. She’s clearly talented and a unique performer, but there is something more to her. To invoke the title of another show we cover, she’s got the x factor. That ineffable quality that makes a star out of some and just another young singer for others. We know, (because we’ve talked to her), that since her time on the show she’s done nothing but work, work, work. Shortly after the show she appeared on a song with Diplo and French Montana, Welcome to the Party, for the Deadpool 2 soundtrack. She said of that collaboration,
“It was cool to collaborate with [French] because the first song I did on the show, it was his. He was really nice.”
We also know that she will be going on tour in 2019, but we’re not sure on the details yet. As for Zhavia’s special quality, she has her own theories. She told US Weekly,
“I feel like all my songs have a lot of passion, emotion and power behind them, but ‘100 Ways’ is a little more aggressive. The track is more trap-sounding and was produced by Oak. My fans will like anything that’s authentic to my style. I think what sets me apart from other artists is my tone of voice and style of music that I release. I have such a broad musical background. My parents introduced me to a lot of different genres and I try to represent that in my music.”
All we know for sure is that Zhavia will continue to surprise and delight us for years to come. Remember, she’s still a teenage girl with a huge and long career in front of her.
