Anthony Ortiz vs Mari (Team Adam)

Even though these two had different styles and voices, the song I Like Me Better worked for both of them. Adam mentioned that this song was best suited for Anthony, but Mari was able to bring a new twist to it. Both Kelly and John were leaning more towards Mari, and Adam felt as though the nerves got a bit to Anthony. When it came to making a decision he went with Mari.

Jackson Marlow vs Abby Kasch (Team Kelly)

Although both artists are very different and struggled to be in sync, they still showcased their individual talents brilliantly. Performing to the song Bring On the Rain, Abby had pitch issues but her performance is what captivated Kelly and got her through for the next round.

Jacob Maxwell vs Talon Cardon (Team John)

Performing to Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, both Jacob and Talon had very different ways to tackle this song. While Talon is more R & B, this pick was a bit out of his comfort. They both struggled with nerves, but the coaches agreed that Jacob had an overall better performance so John sent him through to the next round.

Winner: Jacob Maxwell

David Owens vs Rebecca Howell (Team Kelly)

These two artists were completely different with David being a soft/soulful singer and Rebecca being a country artists, but they pulled off this performance to Unchained Melody. Surprisingly enough, Blake said he would pick David because he brings a uniqueness to the table, which Adam felt that Rebecca was more prepared. This confused Kelly and she said she had to go with her initial gut instinct, so Rebecca is off to the next round.

Winner: Rebecca Howell

Kalvin Jarvis vs Jimmy Mowery (Team Adam)

Ending the night with a strong performance is Jimmy and Kalvin battling to U Got It Bad. Kelly tells Jimmy that his performance was unexpected in a great way, while she complimented Kalvin’s tone & overall connection to the song. John agreed with Kelly, and ultimately when it came time for Adam’s decision, he went with Kalvin. The end of the road was not near for Jimmy, as John stole him at the last moment! Looks like both men are heading to the next round.
