Amanda Holden Hits Second ‘BGT’ Golden Buzzer for Unexpected Act
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Britain’s Got Talent continues to play fast and loose with the rules of the Golden Buzzer. During the most recent episode of Series 17, judge Amanda Holden hit the buzzer for a second time. This time, it was for an unusual act that made her laugh.
Amanda Holden Hits Second BGT Golden Buzzer
During Sunday’s new episode of BGT, a Japanese performer named Nabe took the stage to audition for the show. He delivered a series of impressions, but not the kind we’re used to seeing. Instead, he used his hair to impersonate various characters and celebrities.
Nabe started by twisting his hair into two horns to look like Maleficent. He then brought the two sides of his hair down next to his ears to imitate Snoopy. A little shaving cream on the top of his head made him look like Shaun the Sheep.
And of course no series of impressions would be complete without Simon Cowell. In this case, Nabe impersonated Cowell’s chest hair, using a tiny shirt and a cutout of the judge’s head. Throughout the performance, the judges were howling with laughter — especially Amanda Holden.
In fact, Holden didn’t even say anything before she slammed her fist down on the Golden Buzzer. This is her second time doing the honors this season, having previously hit it for singer Sydnie Christmas. Her fellow judges were shocked by the decision.

What Did the Judges Think of the Performance?
“I just love him so much,” Holden said after hitting the Golden Buzzer for Nabe, as gold confetti rained down on the stage. She then joked, “Who knew that Simon and Shaun the Sheep had so much in common?”
Holden picked up some confetti off the stage and put it into Nabe’s hair as the audience cheered. She returned to her chair and told Nabe that his performance “made me howl” and “absolutely laugh my head off.”
Cowell agreed, calling Nabe “one of the funniest people we’ve ever had.” Meanwhile, Bruno Tonioli said he had “no idea what was coming next,” calling him “very, very funny.” Thanks to Holden, Nabe is headed straight to the live shows.
