Fans are looking forward to the next episode of The Voice featuring Snoop Dogg’s team. That being said, some fans are shading Snoop Dogg’s advisor pick.
Snoop Dogg Names Playoff Advisor
Monday’s episode of The Voice is set to feature Team Snoop, battling for the two spots in this seasons’ Live Shows. Ahead of the episode, it was announced that Snoop Dogg picked Simone Biles as his Playoff Advisor. For those who may not be familiar, the Playoff advisor is someone coaches pick to assist in progressing their artists further.
On Thursday, November 21, the official The Voice instagram page posted a photo of Biles. Within the post, they announced her as Snoop Dogg‘s Playoff Advisor. Since then, fans have been questioning Snoop Dogg’s decision.
“I was expecting someone in the music industry but she can actually give great advice for being stage ready etc,” a fan commented. “I’m intrigued to see how it goes.”
Others are pointing out the fact that although Biles is known publicly, she isn’t known for anything related to music. On the flip side, fans are pointing out the fact that Biles may have been brought in for the on-stage confidence part of the show.
“This totally makes sense when you realize that these people can already SING and what they need is training on stage presence, confidence, and performance, which she’s an expert in,” another fan commented.
Machine Gun Kelly Acted as Gwen Stefani’s Playoff Advisor
In case you may have missed it, last episode featured Gwen Stefani’s team. Stefani picked Machine Gun Kelly as her Playoff Advisor. During the night of outstanding performances, Team Gwen members really showed up. Each member put on such a good performance that it was tough for Stefani to pick her two artists that would be continuing.
After the lengthy decision, Stefani progressed Jan Dan and Sydney Sterlace along into the Top 8. She then eliminated Jose Luis, Jake Tankersley and Gabrielle Zabosky. It’s worth noting that Jose, Jake, and Gabrielle all had impressive performances, but unfortunately not everyone can continue on.
The Voice returns to NBC on Monday Night 8pm ET for the next round of the Playoffs. Be sure to tune in if you don’t want to miss any of the competition.
