A cappella group Pentatonix is gearing up to kick off their world tour next month, with American Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina joining them as a special guest. The singer will appear with the group at several dates around the United States this summer.
Lauren Alaina to Join Pentatonix on World Tour
Pentatonix (featuring Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Scott Hoying, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee) are set to hit the road for the first part of their world tour beginning this August. They’ll be joined by Lauren Alaina, who placed second on Season 10 of American Idol.
“I can’t be VOCAL enough about how excited I am for this tour!” Alaina wrote on Instagram when the dates were first announced. Fans can see a full list of the upcoming concerts and buy tickets on the Pentatonix website.
In June, Alaina released a new EP called Unlocked, featuring six songs including the track “Thicc as Thieves” featuring fellow country star Lainey Wilson. Her most recent studio album, Sitting Pretty on Top of the World, was released in 2021.

Pentatonix Previously Toured with Girl Named Tom
Last year, Pentatonix performed a Christmas tour around the United States. They were accompanied on the tour by The Voice Season 21 winners Girl Named Tom. The sibling trio brought their incredible harmonies to the stage in various cities.
Like Lauren Alaina and Girl Named Tom, Pentatonix is no stranger to talent shows. Earlier this year, they competed as California Roll on The Masked Singer Season 9. They finished the competition in third place, with panelists Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke correctly guessing who they were.
The Pentatonix World Tour is set to kick off on August 9 in Jacksonville, Florida. There are currently dates lined up into September of this year. Do you have plans to attend the tour? Let us know in the comments below.
