Girl Named Tom Joins Pentatonix on Christmas Tour
The group shared the exciting news on social media this week, writing that they are “beyond delighted” to be joining Pentatonix for their tour, called A Christmas Spectacular, which kicks off on November 17 in Oakland, California.
“Way back to 2012, every time PTX put up a YouTube video, we would gather around our family’s Dell computer in absolute AWE of what we heard coming out of those speakers,” the group wrote on Instagram. “To this day, they are a huge source of inspiration in harmonizing and arranging.”
Tickets for the tour, including VIP packages, go on sale Friday, September 23. The trio shared that fans can sign up for their mailing list to receive access to pre-sale tickets. Tour dates run through December 22. You can visit the Pentatonix website for more information.
The Group Has Been Touring Since Their Win
Since winning The Voice on Team Kelly last December, Girl Named Tom has been focused on performing. Even after their father passed away following a battle with cancer earlier this year, the group was determined to keep doing shows.
On Monday, the group shared that they’ve played more than 70 shows since December of last year. They also teased that they’ve spent spent the past year “writing lots of songs.” The group added that The Voice “has opened up so many doors for us.”
Meanwhile, Pentatonix is planning to release a new holiday album called Holidays Around the World on October 28. They’ll also soon be releasing a new song called “Prayers For This World.”
