A beloved member of the America’s Got Talent cast has unfortunately passed away. Piff The Magic Dragon’s chihuahua, Mr. Piffles, has passed away at the age 16.

Mr. Piffles Passes Away at 16 Years Old

Mr. Piffles, a chihuahua seen performing with Piff The Magic Dragon has passed away. The dog was first seen with his owner on America’s Got Talent Season 10.

Piff The Magic Dragon confirmed Mr. Piffles death to TMZ. In his statement, he explained that Mr. Piffles passed away on November 8th, days before his 17th birthday. The magician credits his recuse dog for making his act sensational.

“For over 15 years I’ve had the privilege and the pleasure of being upstaged and outshone night after night by Mr. Piffles,” the magician told TMZ. “He came into my life when I had nothing, and set me on the path to a career I could only dream of. In the beginning, I may have rescued him, but in the end, he rescued me.”

The Flamingo Las Vegas will throw a special ceremony in honor of Mr. Piffles. On Wednesday, November 13, the resort will unveil the Mr. Piffles Magical Playground. The space is a dog friendly playground dedicated to the dog.

For those who may not know, Piff The Magic Dragon and Mr. Piffles have had a residency at Flamingo Las Vegas for nearly a decade. Apparently, Mr. Piffles final show was going to be held today, on his 17th birthday.

What’s Next for Piff The Magic Dragon?

Luckily, Piff The Magic Dragon’s residency will continue on, in honor of Mir. Piffles. Although the magician’s act includes his dog, the show will go on. According to TMZ, the magician cloned his dog, shelling out $60K for Mr. Piffles the Second.

For those who may not remember, Piff The Magic Dragon and Mr. Piffles appeared on America’s Got Talent in 2015. Notably, they’re remembered for earning the Golden Buzzer from guest judge Neil Patrick Harris.

After finishing in the Top 10 of the season, the magician returned to the show for two spin offs, AGT: The Champions in 2019, and AGT Fantasy League in 2024.
