Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke Walk Off ‘The Masked Singer’ Set Following Rudy Giuliani Reveal
Reading Time: 2 minutes
A giant spoiler from the set of The Masked Singer has been revealed. Celebrity panelists Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke reportedly walked off set following the unmasking of Rudy Giuliani during taping of the first episode of the next season.
For those who may not be familiar, Giuliani was the 107th Mayor of New York City (1994-2001) and a part of former President Donald Trump’s legal team. This political figure has spread misinformation this past year about the 2020 presidential election and was subsequently suspended from practicing law in New York by an appellate court.
As soon as Jeong and Thicke saw Giuliani, they reportedly left the stage in protest. Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger remained onstage when Jeong and Thicke exited the set. The women apparently bantered with the political figure until Jeong and Thicke returned to the stage.
Will This Episode of The Masked Singer Air?
It seems like FOX fully intends to air Giuliani’s unmasking on their network, even after harsh criticism. Fans can still expect to see this unmasking. At this time, Giuliani’s costume and song choice have not been revealed. The network stated that they will not acknowledge leaks or spoilers.
The upcoming seventh season of The Masked Singer premieres on March 9 on FOX. Season seven has been in production since the end of January, filming will end on February 18. The theme for the season is “The Good, The Bad and The Cuddly.”
The last time The Masked Singer saw a controversial political figure was in 2020 with Sarah Palin as Bear. Palin’s involvement in the series was controversial, but it didn’t have the same type of panelist response. Instead, panelists were in shock with her onstage personality.
