They will showcase the influence and impact of culture on the platform. After each episode, fans can search #MTVPopstar on TikTok to vote for their favorite artist. Voting will remain open for 48 hours after the episode airs.
Artists will be up for elimination taking place each episode. The series will dwindle down until two final artists are left. They will battle it out head-to-head in the finale special. The one winner will walk away as a popstar with their own Pepsi commercial set to premiere during the MTV Video Music Awards which typically occurs in September. On top of the commercial, Pepsi will provide funding and resources to support the winner’s career ambitions.
