Ryan Hayashi Was a Samurai Act in BGT Back In 2010

Born on May 28, 1973, in Dunnville, Ontario, Canada, Hayashi, known as the “Samurai Master of Magic,” has left a profound impact on the world of magic and entertainment. With a passion for magic ignited at a young age, Hayashi began his journey into the world of illusions.

He gained international recognition for his incredible versatility and performed in 18 countries, certainly leaving audiences in awe with his dynamic stage presence. Over 80 million viewers across 36 national TV shows have witnessed Hayashi’s performances, solidifying his status as a global television personality.

Hayashi’s rise to fame was due in large part to his dedication and extraordinary talent. In 2010, he auditioned for the fourth season of BGT, captivating the judges and viewers alike with his daring samurai sword act. Although he didn’t advance to the live shows, Hayashi’s performance was described as “terrifying,” “dangerous,” and “very exciting” by the judges, proving his status as a professional act.

Hayashi’s achievements in the world of magic paved the way for his journey on BGT. He participated in numerous magic championships and competitions, showcasing his talent on a global stage. Notably, he won the MacMillan International Magic Competition in 2003 and was hailed as the unofficial “European Champion of Magic” in 2005.

He Is A World-Renowned Magician Today

In 2018, he appeared on the fifth season of Penn & Teller: Fool Us, where he was successful in fooling the renowned magician duo with his awe-inspiring coin matrix performance. His skillful execution then earned him a place among the “11 Best Tricks from ‘Penn & Teller: Fool Us'” as recognized by Geek.com.

Hayashi’s passion for magic also extended beyond television appearances. He then embarked on charitable endeavors, performing alongside magicians from around the world for the “Help for Heroes” organization. His dedication to the craft remained unwavering as he continued to participate in talent shows such as Germany’s Got Talent and Czech Republic/Slovakia’s Got Talent.

In 2023, Hayashi auditioned for AGT in Season 18, with both magic and sleight of hand, he showcased his unique brand of entertainment. While Hayashi impressed Heidi Klum, unfortunately, his audition fell short of unanimous approval. Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Simon Cowell cast their votes as “No,” resulting in his elimination from the competition.
