‘Penn and Teller’s Fool Us’ Star Penn Jillette to Guest Judge ‘BGT: The Ultimate Magician’

Britain’s Got Talent returns with the one-off special episode BGT: The Ultimate Magician. The spinoff will feature all the best magical acts going head-to-head with the world’s most talented magicians. Joining the panel of judges as a guest judge, is Penn Jillette, one-half of the famous duo Penn and Teller.
BGT: The Ultimate Magician Is The Super Bowl of Magic Acts
Throughout BGT‘s 15-year run on the British television network, the show has featured some of the most mesmerizing magical acts ever seen. In the special BGT: The Ultimate Magician, ten of the best magicians from previous seasons will return on the Got Talent stage.
The contestants will compete for the title of the ultimate magician, and a £50,000 cash prize. Fans are looking forward to seeing the most jaw-dropping magical acts that are never before seen on the show
“We’ve scoured a huge selection of incredibly talented magicians across many Got Talent shows around the world.” Said the Managing Director Amelia Brown.
Although an official cast announcement has yet to be made, we hope to see AGT champions Mat Franco and Shin Lim on the series. BGT: The Ultimate Magician is filming in front of a live audience on Tuesday, October 11. Fans anticipate that this series will air at the end of this year.
Penn Jillette Guest Judge in Place of Simon Cowell
Penn Jillette of the magic duo Penn and Teller, will sit alongside BGT judges David Walliams, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden in this special. The magic legend will be sitting in for Simon Cowell who cannot judge due to filming commitments in the USA.
“Being a guest judge on BGT is going to be the cushiest job ever. They’ve gone all around the world to find the most astounding magicians, and I get to sit and watch and be amazed. I cannot wait!” Jillette said.
From mind-bending illusions to their light-hearted gags, the iconic duo of Penn and Teller are pioneers in their field. Jillette has over four decades of experience performing all over the world. He even has his own star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Penn and Teller’s countless television and on-stage performances have made them one of the world’s most legendary magicians. We cannot wait to see him appear on Britain’s Got Talent in the near future.
