Everything You Need to Know About ‘AGT’s DANGEROUS Acrobat Chiko
Reading Time: 3 minutes
America’s Got Talent returns tonight with yet another dangerous act. Here’s everything to know about Chiko ahead of his AGT debut.
Chiko auditioned for Spain’s Got Talent in series six, but made it to the semifinals of series seven. In series six, Chiko received a “no” from judge Risto Mejide and was told that his audition was lacking something. The judge wanted something never before seen as part of his act.
In season seven Chiko returned to Spain’s Got Talent with four bottles, in which he performed each stunt on top of. In this audition, he once again climbed to the highest point of the theater chair by chair. This time, he had four glass bottles to balance on as he climbed higher and higher.
Chiko’s acrobat audition impressed the judges so much that Mejide gave him the “yes” shirt. After that, the judges decided that Chiko deserved three yeses. Chiko returned to the show for the semifinals, in which he performed another balancing act high above the stage. After adding for height pieces, he blindfolded himself and balanced with his feet over his head at that height.
The acrobat then continued to add pieces to the platform until he was eight meters above the stage. He pointed knives in the direction of the him, before performing a final balance, in which he finished inches away from them. It seems like Chiko didn’t make it past the semifinals in this competition. Reportedly, Chiko has also appeared on the Italian talent show, Tú Sí Que Vales.
His Spain’s Got Talent finale act is most likely what he’s performing on the AGT stage since released photos feature a similar outfit and set up. Make sure to tune into America’s Got Talent on Tuesday, June 28 to see what the audience and judges think of this acrobat.
Who is Chiko, D’Art Espectaculos
It’s clear that Chiko is a seasoned acrobat ahead of his AGT audition. This acrobat currently works at The Circus La Strada (Frankello family), D’Art Espectaculos, and more. He’s appeared on stage at Wiesbadener Weihnachtscircus Das Original in Germany, Circus Quimera, Circus Belly, and more. His oldest circus photos date back to 2010 on Facebook.
Although Chiko has appeared on Spain’s Got Talent twice, it appears that he’s still relatively unknown on social media. Chiko doesn’t share much of his personal life on social media, but it appears that his family is the reason he keeps going.
Chiko is auditioning for America’s Got Talent as part of the circus group, D’Art Espectaculos. This group of performances have dedicated over 15 years of their life to the art of the circus. The group itself features dancers, jugglers, sway pole artists, acrobats and even more. We’re not sure if the whole group plans to appear alongside Chiko on this competition, or not. It seems like one member of this group will go on stage with the acrobat.
Tune into America’s Got Talent on June 28 to see how the audience and judges react to his acrobat act. Time will only tell if Chiko will earn the next Golden Buzzer of the series.
