Common Tries to Save Jennifer Hudson from Stray Basketball at Knicks Game

Jennifer Hudson attended a Knicks game this week with her boyfriend, actor and rapper Common. During the game, a stray ball flew toward Hudson’s head. Common tried to knock it away from her, but it still resulted in a clumsy moment.
Common Tries to Save Jennifer Hudson from Stray Basketball
Hudson and Common were sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night, watching the Knicks play the Golden State Warriors. According to TMZ, during the second quarter, Knicks player Miles McBride knocked the basketball toward Hudson.
Video of the moment shows Hudson looking away from the action, as Common reaches up to swipe the ball away from her head. However, in the process, he appears to have still knocked Hudson in the face with his arm, jostling her glasses.
To make matters worse, McBride then lunged toward Hudson as he chased the ball. In the aftermath, Hudson could be seen looking stunned and examining her glasses for damage as Common put his arm around her. Although she was clearly shaken up, she appeared to be unharmed.

How Long Has the Couple Been Dating?
Hudson and Common have known each other for years, but it wasn’t until they starred together in the movie Breathe that the pair sparked romance rumors. In 2022, Hudson seemingly shot down the reports that she and Common were an item.
However, the two continued to be spotted out and about together throughout 2023. It wasn’t until January 2024 that they finally confirmed their relationship on The Jennifer Hudson Show. Later that year, Common talked about the possibility of marriage.
“The marriage thing, we talked about it, and I said what I said,” Common shared. “Look, if I’m gonna get married, it would be to her. That’s not changed.”
Neither Common nor Hudson has ever been married before.
