The Voice returned to NBC on Monday, October 6 for the next round of the Blind Auditions. In case you missed it, The Voice is set to begin Battle Rounds next week, so Teams are beginning to get filled. Be sure to tune back in on Tuesday, October 7 for the final episode of Blind Auditions.

The Voice Season 16 Alum Returns, Earns Chair Turns

The night kicked off with Dustin Dale Gaspard, who sang “Bring it Home to Me” by Sam Cooke. First coach to turn was Reba McEntire, followed by Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and finally Michael Bublé. Dustin decided to join Horan’s team. After the fact, Horan called the audition “one of the best auditions I’ve ever seen and heard on this show in three seasons.”

Up next was a The Voice Alum, Kanard Thomas. In case you may have missed it, Kanard was apart of the show’s 16th season. Although the singer didn’t earn a chair turn in his original audition, he was invited to return for the comeback stage, where he worked with Bebe Rexha. He ultimately won the comeback stage and made it to the Top 24.

In Season 28, Kanard took the stage singing Babyface’s “Whip Appeal.” Snoop Dogg was the first coach to turn, followed by Horan. Horan called this audition “dreamy,” saying it began slow then exploded. Snoop Dogg admitted that Kanard did a great job making Babyface’s song his own. Kanard decided to join Snoop’s Team.

The following act was Shan Scott, who sang “Wish I Knew You” by The Revivalists. It seemed like Shan was going to fail her Blind Audition, until Reba McEntire turned at the last minute. The coach apologized, admitted that she would’ve turned sooner if she wasn’t enjoying the music as much. Bublé and Horan in turn revealed that they also would’ve turned if McEntire turned sooner. Shan joined Team Reba by default.

Young Singers Stun Coaches

Later in the episode, teacher Carly Harvey took the stage singing “It Hurt So Bad” by Susan Tedeschi. It seemed like Carly was going to be a no-chair turn artist, until the end, when Bublé and McEntire turned. Carly decided to join Bublé’s team.

Up next was young rocker Vinya Chhabra. She took the stage singing “Ironic” by Alanis Morissette. The first artist to turn was McEntire, followed by Bublé and Snoop Dogg. She chose to join McEntire’s team. Also joining McEntire’s team is Conrad Khalil, who came to the stage singing “Caught Up” by Usher.

Liam Von Elobe then took the stage singing John Mayer’s “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room.” He only turned the chairs of Snoop Dogg and Horan. He ultimately decided to join Horan’s team. It was okay though because the next singer, Lauren Anderson joined Snoop Dogg’s team. She sang “Midnight Train to Memphis” by Chris Stapleton.

Incredible Mexican Singer Earns Four Chairs

Early release singer Ava Nat audition took the stage, singing “I Love You I’m Sorry.” Horan and McEntire turned together, followed by Snoop Dogg. After hearing Ava could sing Jazz, Bublé joked that he’s happy she has three coach options, but he’ll be stealing her later. She ultimately chose to join Horan’s Team.

Teo Ramdel sang Story of a Love by Luis Miguel completely in spanish, turned chairs of Snoop Dogg and Bublé right away. Eventually, Horan and McEntire turned. McEntire was the first to comment on Teo, calling the song sexy, even though she had no idea what he was saying.

Bublé, in contrast, greeted Teo completely in spanish. He admitted that his wife often speaks only spanish around their home and his children speak the language as well. Snoop Dogg then took over in spanish, wishing Teo a happy birthday (since he revealed it was his birthday after the audition).

After contemplating, Teo decided to join Bublé’s team. Singers Trevor Hewitt and Colin Bracewell also appeared in this episode, unfortunately they did not turn any chairs.
