The nationwide bus tour for auditions for the second season of ABC’s American Idol is kicking off this month! The tour will begin on August 25th at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The Idol Bus will then embark on a more than 20-city tour across America. Each stop will offer hopefuls the chance to audition for their shot at stardom and a spot on the show’s second season!

Idol is going big for its first audition stop at Walt Disney World. ABC has announced that Maddie Poppe, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, and Catie Turner from season one will be making special appearances! Maddie was last season’s winner, her boyfriend Caleb finished second, and Catie was a fan favorite Top 7 finalist. They are all taking a (short) break from the jam-packed American Idols Live! Tour to greet potential future contestants. Their appearances alone make it worth the trip, especially for hopefuls looking to follow in their footsteps!

On the same day, American Idol bus tour auditions will begin in San Diego as well! This second Idol Bus will officially join the nationwide quest to find talent for the show at that time. It hasn’t been announced if any other contestants will make appearances there so it’s not likely. The second bus will focus on the West Coast and South, while the first one will focus on the East Coast.

No matter where you are in the US, the Idol bus is probably stopping near you! The bus tour opens up opportunities to audition so much more than shows like The Voice or America’s Got Talent, where there are only auditions in 4-5 select cities each season. Personally, I’d say Idol is doing it right! Check out the map with all bus tour stops below.

If you’re interested in auditioning at one of these Idol Bus tour stops, early arrival and pre-registration are encouraged. Singers must be at least 15 years old to audition. But even if you can’t make it, you can still submit audition videos online. You can also audition by using the hashtag #TheNextIdol on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or Musical.ly!
