Why Darci Lynne’s Sneak Peek ‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’ Act Is Her Most Impressive One Yet
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Darci Lynne is without a doubt one of the most popular Got Talent acts of all time, so America’s Got Talent: The Champions did us all a solid this week and let us watch her act a few days early!
After delivering consistently great performances and pulling something new out of the bad every week when she was competing on Season 12, I couldn’t even imagine how the AGT winner could top what she’d already done. But top it she did!

The new elements Darci brought in this time was the use of two different songs, “Nutbush City Limits” and “Proud Mary”, and the fact that she had to switch back and forth between the character of Oscar the Mouse’s voice and her own.
While we did see something similar to this in her performance for the Season 12 fnals when she was operating two puppets at once and had to switch between voices while singing, I have to imagine this one was even more challenging for her to pull off. Darci spent half the song singing as herself this time around, meaning she had to switch between singing with her mouth closed and open, as opposed to the number with two puppets when she kept her mouth closed the entire time. So this time, she had to remember precisely when to switch voices and methods.
Very impressive indeed, but will it be enough to get her a spot in the finals? Find out when the next episode of America’s Got Talent: The Champions airs Monday at 8/7c on NBC.
