In addition to winner prizes, The Masked Singer also used to give awards to its judges. The judge with the most correct first impression guesses wins a Golden Ear trophy. The same award was only introduced in season four and was apparently dropped in seasons seven and eight.

The prize system clearly isn’t as straightforward as many of the other competition shows we know and love. Thus, this is another moment where fans have attempted to make sense of The Masked Singer. According to a fan on Reddit, celebrities join the show either to launch a potential career in singing or to return their name to the spotlight.
“If our guesses are correct (and they seem to be 100% so far), any of the people who win would be someone who either A) isn’t known for singing and could use this as a chance to ‘launch’ their singing career, or B) hasn’t been mainstream for a while and this is their comeback,” the fan wrote.
In the discussion, another user pitched in and agreed to what the previous user stated. As written in the comments, celebrities appear on the show if they have a project to promote during the year.
Be that as it may, some fans are convinced that personalities compete on The Masked Singer to gain relevance again. But, going into it, they should know that there’s no certain and definite consequence upon a celebrity’s victory on the series. Nonetheless, even without a cash prize, it has to be accepted that The Masked Singer is a successful reality competition show that fans love to watch.
