Monday’s Dramatic Episode Revealed Which Contestants Were Going To Hawaii

The Top 40 was announced in this week’s conclusion of Hollywood Week where we saw some standout contestants like Margie Mays go home. Mays was separated from her boyfriend Jonny West who made it into the Top 40. She made it to the Top 40 last year but was cut after her solo performance did not impress the judges. This year, both her duet and solo during Hollywood Week just fell flat.

Another big Top 40 story was Just Sam who battled through her sickness to deliver a solo performance that had the judges up on their feet. She has been a favorite contestant of the judges and fans alike since her audition.

Her performance sent her into the Top 40 after she shed tears during her rehearsal and declared that she was not going to give up. She is a subway performer back home in New York and hopes that American Idol could give her the platform she needs to make her dreams of being a singer a reality.

Just Sam commented on Crocker Jr’s Instagram video “Lord !!!! I’m so grateful to know you guys !! This was such a beautiful moment,” and later even reposted the video on her own account. She added “*SIDENOTE* I’m NOT a rapper” with a bunch of laughing emojis. She may not be a rapper, but she sure is an amazingly talented performer.

‘American Idol’ Has Stopped Production

This Instagram video comes after it was announced that American Idol has halted production due to the coronavirus outbreak. However, the contestants were still able to go to Hawaii to give their top 40 performances in front of a crowd which was filmed before the outbreak started.

While there is no telling exactly when production will be back up and running again for the show, we definitely have more great Instagram content to look forward to from this talented group of contestants. They seem to really get along with each other well and spend time together even when they are not filming.
