‘The Voice’ Fans Criticize Gwen Stefani’s Fashion Choice: “Try Something More Age Appropriate”

As Battle Rounds of The Voice Season 24 kicks off, fans are not only getting critical of the contestants’ performances, but also the coaches’ fashion choices. Pop icon Gwen Stefani has recently received unwanted comments regarding her “over-the-top” outfit.
The Voice Fans Call Out Gwen Stefani’s Outfit During Battle Rounds Premiere
Since entering The Voice as coach, Stefani has been serving some pretty extra fashion looks on the show. Typically, the singer is praised for her choices, but it seems like fans disagree with her vision on her Battles Round outfit.
On October 18, the pop star posted a series of photos on Instagram to show her outfit for the first day of the Battles. Stefani also provided closeups of her makeup and nails.
The singer was donning a puffy white blouse layered with a black suspender top. The top was paired with a feathery mini skirt, fishnet tights, and heeled boots. Stefani completed her look by tying her blonde hair into a ponytail and polishing her nails bloody red.
However, the comment section of her post clearly didn’t appreciate her look. Soon after seeing the upload, her social media followers slammed her wonky fashion.
“You can sing but your outfits choices are awful. Try something more age appropriate. You’re not 20 anymore,” one person wrote.
“Her outfits are so weird,” another user commented.
“You do not need outrageous outfits to be beautiful. Get back to basics,” another person wrote.
Stefani’s fashion choice wasn’t the only one that caught the attention of the fans. Apparently, some users are also suspecting that she’s gotten work done to her face. Nonetheless, amid critics’ unsolicited comments, the singer refused to address any of them.
She’s Reportedly “Gunning for Reba” After Shelton’s Exit
For the first time ever, Stefani is navigating The Voice without her husband Blake Shelton. With this drastic change, the GXVE Beauty founder admitted that she’s been struggling to adjust.
Nevertheless, besides missing Shelton on the show, Stefani is seeing his absence as a chance to stand out on the show. According to a source, the singer is currently eyeing newest coach Reba McEntire as her biggest competition.
“Blake has been the king of the coaches since the start of the show and Gwen saw his departure as a chance to really shine and take over the reins,” the source stated.
However, a separate source reported that Shelton reminded Stefani not to be too aggressive in competing against the queen of country. As per the insider, Shelton singer begged his wife to play nice.
“Blake worships the ground Reba walks on,” the insider said. “She’s been such a career inspiration for him. In most cases, Blake goes out of his way to not ruffle Gwen’s feathers, but he’s told her he isn’t going to stand for her to be anything less than polite and kind to Reba or she’s going to be living in a house of discontent.”
Amid multiple reports, there’s no beef between Stefani and McEntire so far. As per the “I’m a Survivor” singer, Stefani, John Legend, and Niall Horan welcome her “warmly” on the show.
