In this week’s The Voice recap show we reveal a new change that the show is adding. It’s, supposedly, “The Twist No One Saw Coming”. It’s called the Live Cross Battles. But what is it?
The “Twist no one will see coming” is that the knockout rounds are not happening. Instead they’ve been replaced by a round called Live Cross Battles. What that is is instead of singers from the same team competing, they will be from two different themes and you, the public, will get to vote live for who you think should move forward.
It’s something that The Voice has done in other countries, starting with Holland. That means that unlike in the past where the knockouts were pre-taped you will get to choose who wins each pairing. It makes sense since they are pitting people from opposite teams that the coaches don’t get to decide.
