Sofia Vergara has officially stunned once again on Instagram. The America’s Got Talent judge, who’s set to appear as Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco in an upcoming Netflix drama series, has hinted at a new project in the works.
In one of her posted photos, fans noticed hints that this may have something to do with the new series, Griselda, since the photo includes the show’s executive producer, as well as other cast members. Regardless, in the photos, Vergara looks stunning as Blanco with auburn hair, mature makeup, and black black-themed suit.
Fans flooded the comments expressing excitement for this transformative new role for Vergara. The Modern Family star has been preparing extensively to capture Blanco’s lethal charm and brutal cunning that earned her the nickname “The Godmother.”
In addition to Vergara in the title role, Griselda boasts an impressive cast including Alberto Guerra, Christian Tappan, and acclaimed Colombian singer Karol G making her acting debut.
Vergara has been hard at work on the set of her upcoming Netflix crime drama series, Griselda, and recently gave fans a sneak peek via Instagram. The show is inspired by the life of notorious drug lord Griselda Blanco in 1970s and 1980s Miami.
The series is helmed by Eric Newman, creator of Narcos, and directed by Andrés Baiz. Newman and Baiz are known for their gritty, high-stakes dramatizations of Colombia’s infamous drug wars.
