With their death-defying acrobatics, World Taekwondo Demonstration Team has surely cemented themselves in the history of sports and television. This martial arts group has already joined three versions of Got Talent, receiving a Golden Buzzer in each audition. This year, they will attempt to secure their fourth on AGT All-Stars.

World Taekwondo Demonstration Team was Famous in the Olympics

World Taekwondo Demonstration Team plays a lead role in promoting Taekwondo across the globe since 2009. They do this by publicly showcasing their techniques, especially during sporting events like the Olympic Games. Apart from this, they have also performed in the Vatican City, United Nations headquarters and IOC Museum.

However, beyond World Taekwondo Demonstration Team’s fascinating acrobatics is a powerful message they seek to impart to the people. In almost all of their performances, they end by displaying their motto: “Peace is more precious than Triumph.” Through their treasured sport, the demo team intends to contribute to world peace.

They Have Received the Golden Buzzer Three Times

For those who may not know, World Taekwondo Demonstration Team first tried their luck in Got Talent during Italia’s Got Talent. There, they sealed a spot in the Finale when judge Mara Maionchi pressed her Golden Buzzer. This major television success prompted them to join the main franchise, America’s Got Talent, back in 2021.

World Taekwondo Demonstration Team didn’t disappoint during their AGT audition. Similar to the Italian crowd, both judges and audiences were roaring from beginning to end of their performance. Host Terry Crews, who was evidently impressed, decidedly gave them his only Golden Buzzer for season 16.

“World Taekwondo, this is not about fighting. It’s about courage, it’s about confidence and respect,” he said. “And I respect what you guys did out here today.”

Until the Finale, the demo team was breathtaking. Their acrobatic tricks were phenomenal, moving in sync and breaking boards midair. Consequently, they ended up as part of the competition’s Top 10. This milestone marked first martial arts act to advance to the live shows since Kung Fu Heroes in Season 5, and the first to reach the Finals.

After AGT season 16, they auditioned for France’s Got Talent, notably obtaining their third Golden Buzzer. Subsequently, they went all the way to the show’s finals, reinforcing their place in the international arena.

World Taekwondo Demonstration Team is Coming Back for AGT All-Stars

This martial arts group will once again grace national television to show off their world-class acrobatic routines. As AGT All-Stars begins, World Taekwondo Demonstration Team aims to acquire their fourth Golden Buzzer while also spreading their message.

To know more about their journey, be sure to watch AGT All-Stars starting January 2, on NBC.
