Magician Dustin Tavella Teaches Powerful Lesson About Giving Back on ‘America’s Got Talent’

Dustin Tavella’s America’s Got Talent performance tonight was so impactful. The magician decided to use his final performance to send out a powerful message to millions of viewers at home. Simon Cowell made a prediction that Dustin will be one of the final two acts standing up on stage when Terry Crews reads out the winner tomorrow night.
Dustin Tavella Performs Most Memorable ‘AGT’ Act of the Night
On a night where World Taekwondo Demonstration Team and Aidan Bryant blew the AGT judges away, we all could not wait to see what Dustin was going to do. He took a very simple approach to a trick that left a tremendous impression on the audience. Dustin started off talking about the story of his parent’s marriage. He tore up a picture of them and somehow put it back together.
He had all of the members of the audience write down a wish on a piece of paper. They threw them at the AGT judges and they were each instructed to pick up one paper. Dustin read Cowell’s paper out loud. The person who wrote it wants to give some of his clothes to children who are less fortunate. Dustin applauded the kid in the AGT audience who wrote it. Crews popped a balloon to reveal the same exact message inside of it.
Dustin tore up the piece of paper into tiny pieces. All of a sudden, little flicks of confetti began shooting out of his hands. Confetti also fell from the ceiling. On the confetti, the word “give” was written. Heidi Klum looked amazed. At that moment, Dustin solidified himself as one of the greatest AGT magicians ever.
Cowell Predicts Dustin Could Potentially Win the Show
The message behind the performance clearly moved Cowell. He was up on his feet in a matter of seconds once he realized the word written on the confetti. We rarely see him show emotion on the show. It felt like he wanted to cry but was holding back. This night of performances on AGT was phenomenal so we don’t blame him for being in his feels.
“Dustin, you really are amazing,” Cowell said. “You know what, I said this about you before, you really are an amazing storyteller and I am so happy that you entered the show. I’m so happy America has you put you on this stage. I love everything about you. I’m not a magician but let me make a prediction. There will be two people standing on stage tomorrow night at the end and I believe you will be one of them.”
Cowell later said during the night that he will never forget all of the performances he saw. Aidan and Dustin were his clear favorites of the night.
