Julianne Hough Is A ‘Deeply Different Person’ And Is ‘Not Straight’ As She Was When She Got Married

Julianne Hough and her husband of three years Brooks Laich recently announced that they were separating. The couple chose to quarantine separately during the coronavirus pandemic, with Julianne in Los Angeles and Brooks in Idaho.
Now, sources are shedding light on what might have caused the couple to drift apart. It apparently had a lot to do with Julianne becoming a “deeply different person” than she was when the couple first got married.
Julianne Hough Is A Different Person?
“She is a deeply different person than she was when they got married, and she is proud of those differences and changes she’s made and she doesn’t want to go back,” a source told People of Julianne’s transformation. “He is the man he is, and he shouldn’t change a thing.”

Julianne herself has hinted at these changes before. Last year, she revealed to Women’s Health magazine that she had recently told her husband Brooks she is “not straight.” She also referred to undergoing a “massive transformation.”
“It’s more of a metaphor to me. It is not necessarily about showing my physical body,” she said of posing nude for the magazine. “It’s more about what this journey was for me this year, about shedding and de-layering and coming back to the core and the essence of who I am and how I got there.”
What Did Brooks Think Of These Changes?
A source told People that the former hockey player wanted to make it work in their marriage, but it didn’t end up working out for the couple.
“Brooks was determined to make it work, but he was constantly questioning what changes he needed to make for Julianne to be happy,” the source said. “He was fighting with this for months and it was very hard for him to let go of his marriage.”

“It really took the lockdown and them being separated for two months for him to realize that it is time to let go,” the source continued. “He has been happy living by himself in nature.”
Although they won’t be together romantically, the couple reportedly plans to continue supporting each other as “deeply loving friends forever.”
