“This doesn’t happen to people like me very often,” Styles said as he accepted the award during Sunday night’s ceremony, adding that he doesn’t think about awards when he makes music. He shared that “there’s no such thing as best.”
In the Album of the Year category, Styles was up against ABBA’s Voyage, Adele’s 30, and Lizzo’s Special, among others. Harry’s House also won this year’s award for Best Pop Vocal album. Styles is now a three-time Grammy winner, having previously won the award for Best Pop Solo Performance for his song “Watermelon Sugar” in 2021.
Styles’ song “As It Was” was nominated for four awards this year, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video. Although he didn’t win in those categories, Styles performed the song during Sunday’s ceremony.
