Canada’s Got Talent Season 2 officially has a premiere date, as announced by judge Howie Mandel in a new video clip. The new season of the show will premiere March 21 on Citytv, with a whole new set of talented performers taking the stage.

Canada’s Got Talent Season 2 to Premiere March 21

It was previously announced that Season 2 of Canada’s Got Talent would premiere this March, but fans have been waiting to find out a more specific date. This week, the show shared a video featuring Mandel plugging in a sign announcing March 21 as the premiere date.

“I did it,” Mandel says after showing off the sign. “Did I do it? Did I do it?”

CGT began filming this season’s auditions last October at a new venue. The show taped performances at Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls. As judge Trish Stratus said at the time, “We have more people. It’s sold out. It’s like, people are into us.”

Canada’s Got Talent returned last year for a comeback season, 10 years after the original single-season run of the show ended in 2012. Mandel and Stratus will be back on the judging panel this season, along with Lilly Singh and Kardinal Offishall.

Last Year’s Winner Competed on AGT: All-Stars

Last year, singer Jeanick Fournier was named the winner of Canada’s Got Talent, after earning a Golden Buzzer in her audition from the show’s host Lindsay Ell. Recently, Fournier appeared on America’s Got Talent: All-Stars.

Fournier performed “I’ll Never Love Again” by Lady Gaga. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to move on to the Finals, as she didn’t earn a Golden Buzzer, and the Superfans didn’t vote her through.

Since her win last year, Fournier also released her self-titled debut album. Which amazing act will succeed her as the new Canada’s Got Talent winner? We’ll find out soon.
