Derek Hough, Hayley Erbert Reveal Dance They Were Supposed to Perform on ‘DWTS’
In a recent post on Instagram, Hough showed the raw video of their dance rehearsal to “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol. According to the five-time Mirrorball champion, it was the routine they failed to perform on DWTS because Erbert unfortunately suffered a shoulder injury.
“Last season we were supposed to perform this piece on @dancingwiththestars but unfortunately the day before @hayley.erbert injured her shoulder. This was the rough concept we put together in our garage,” he wrote.
In the comment section, Hough stated that he thinks the choreography isn’t near perfect. Nonetheless, he supposes that an organic clip can tap on emotions as well.
“You can tell it still needed a little finessing and the camera work would’ve really helped enhance the movement and artistry. But sometimes the rough and raw glimpse can be moving too,” he wrote.
Upon seeing the clip, fans immediately expressed their awe towards the couple’s passionate choreography. Particularly, they praised the manifestly romantic connection seen in the dance.
“The connection you have with each other when you dance is phenomenal. It brings me to tears and makes me remember why it is that people love the pure passion for dance and the range of emotions it brings us through,” a fan wrote.
The clip was only part one of the entire rehearsal footage. Hough, however, revealed that he intends to release part two of it soon.

In the caption, Hough expressed what i means to hear positive reactions to the live show.
