Britain’s Got Talent has officially revealed the premiere date for Series 18. The competition will be back earlier than usual this year, starting February 22. Last year’s judging panel will be back to watch even more amazing auditions.
Britain’s Got Talent Announces Premiere Date
Historically, Britain’s Got Talent has usually premiered each year in April. However, this year’s competition will kick off earlier than it ever has, on Saturday, February 22. Fans can watch the first episode at 7 pm on ITV1, ITVX and STV.
The show announced the date on social media with a funny video showing judge Simon Cowell dressed as a king, with the show’s hosts Ant & Dec dressed as palace guards. They ask Cowell, “Can we rely on your royal seal of approval?” He responds, “Yes. It’s a royal yes from me.”
Along with Simon Cowell, last year’s judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli will be back for Series 18 of the show. However, Tonioli will be absent for some of the auditions, with social media star KSI set to fill in for him.

Who Won the Competition Last Year?
Last year, singer Sydnie Christmas was named the winner of Series 17. Her audition to the song “Tomorrow” from Annie prompted judge Amanda Holden to hit the Golden Buzzer for her. She went on to perform songs such as “My Way” by Frank Sinatra and “Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz.
As her prize, Christmas received £250,000 and got to perform at the Royal Variety Performance. Second place for Series 17 went to magician Jack Rhodes, with dance duo Abigail & Afronitaaa finishing in third place for the 2024 competition.
