Was Charlie Walk Being Extorted Over Sexual Harassment Allegations?
Reading Time: 1 minutes
The plot thickens. There are new allegations, made by Charlie Walk, that radio exec Tom Gilligan was extorting Charlie walk over allegations that he had hired prostitutes and has sexually harassed several of his employees. What’s more, Charlie says there is a voicemail to prove it.
The caller on the voicemail, (obtained by TMZ), sounds super drunk. He basically tells Charlie that he either quits Republic Records and The Four or else he’ll release the story of Charlie’s sexual misconduct. He promises to keep it hush-hush if this happens. Gilligan says he doesn’t recall sending the voicemail but does admit he was mad at Walk around that time for not granting him access to Jon Bon Jovi and was drinking heavily.
If this is true, this Gilligan dude could go to prison for extortion and harassment. Of course, that doesn’t mean that Charlie didn’t do the stuff he is accused of doing. At least two women have come forward to state that Walk sexually harassed them including Tristan Coppersmith. Walk’s attorney has filed a complaint against Gilligan with the Manhattan district attorney’s office and submitted the voicemail as evidence.
