Blake Shelton made sure to get in a dig at Luke Bryan while tweeting about NASCAR on Sunday. The Voice coach was excited to watch the Real Heroes 400 race, even though there were no fans in the stands.
According to PopCulture.com, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the race went on without a crowd. Blake couldn’t resist using it as an opportunity to poke fun at his fellow country star.
Blake Shelton Shades Luke Bryan On Twitter
“I’m so happy NASCAR is coming on!!!” Blake tweeted Sunday. “The stands look like a @LukeBryanOnline concert but who cares!!! Go Clint!” (He’s referring to NASCAR driver Clint Bower.)

Luke hasn’t responded to the comment, as he’s been busy tweeting about Sunday night’s American Idol finale. The show just crowned its Season 18 winner, only a couple of days before The Voice will announce its latest champion on Tuesday.
While Luke might not be acknowledging Blake’s shade right now, Twitter users certainly did. The tweet currently has over 18,000 likes. People are clearly fans of Blake and Luke’s friendship. Because despite the diss, they really are friends.
Blake And Luke’s Friendly Rivalry
The two country stars might have a friendly rivalry going thanks to their competing talent shows, but they actually get along. Luke even joins Blake and his girlfriend Gwen Stefani for dinner sometimes.

Blake also helped Luke with contract negotiations for American Idol, which he’s been on for three seasons now. “I’ve been doing it long enough that I wanted them to treat him right, you know, so hopefully that all worked out for him,” Blake said.
The pair obviously have a few similarities, as they’re both talent show judges and country stars. Recently, a news station misidentified Luke as Blake Shelton. Luke posted a shot of the incorrect label on Instagram, joking, “I gotta work harder.”
