Blake Shelton left The Voice after Season 23, and he has no immediate plans to return as a coach. However, he recently shared the one thing that might get him to return to the show for another season.
Blake Shelton Talks Possible Return to The Voice
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Shelton said that he misses the people he worked with on The Voice, who “became like family to me.” However, he added that he doesn’t “miss the job at all.”
“I totally needed a break from that, because if I wasn’t into it then it wasn’t good for whoever was on my team,” Shelton explained. “I don’t want to be someone who’s just going through the motions. Those artists need somebody fighting for them.”
Shelton said that it got to the point where he lost track of which season he was working on, and who his fellow coaches were. He explained that “every day feels a little bit better” since he made the decision to leave after 23 seasons.
“If they were ever able to put together the original four coaches again, maybe [I’d return] for one season, a one-off,” Shelton said of the possibility that he’ll return. “That would be fun for me… That would be something I would be interested in doing.”

Shelton Has New Bar in Las Vegas
Shelton recently opened a new location for his bar Ole Red in Las Vegas. He said the new spot “felt like home,” adding, “You don’t expect there to be this country music honky tonk right here on the strip, but it’s here and it feels like it’s here to stay.”
“It really does feel like you’ve stepped in through a portal and you’re in Nashville when you come through the doors, which is so perfect for Las Vegas because country music has always had a place here,” Shelton shared. “I think it’s gonna be great for the country music industry to have this home base here in Vegas.”
When asked if he’s ever considered a Vegas residency, Shelton said he has. He added that he’s “been in talks” about it in the past, and it’s “definitely in the cards” for him. Shelton made sure to add that it might not be “a long-term thing.”
