Ariana Grande Blocks John Legend From Four-Chair Turn Holly Forbes
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Ariana Grande was the last coach to use her block this season and it could be because she didn’t know how to use it. Shouldn’t they have taught her these things before the season started? She didn’t realize that she had to click the block button before they turned their chairs.
Samara Brown took to The Voice stage singing “Sweet Thing” by Rufus and Chaka Khan. She showed off her amazing voice and great range. Grande tried so hard to block John Legend, but failed since she clicked the button once his chair was already in motion.
She repeatedly hit the button hoping to block him while he was already in motion. Unfortunately for her, in the end Samara ended up choosing Team Legend for the season.
“I tried so hard to block him, I hit it 30 times!” said Grande.
If only there was a way to rewind time to give Grande a second chance at the block. At least it won’t be used against her in the long run since she didn’t even trigger the actual buzzer.
Ariana Grande ACTUALLY Blocks John Legend over “Rocketman” Rendition
Once she was given a tutorial of how the button really worked she managed to figure it out, and use it like a pro! The first time was clearly just a practice round for this pop singer. Legend seriously didn’t even realize he had been blocked until he got a good look at the singer. Revenge is sweet, huh Ariana Grande?
Holly Forbes took to the stage singing a beautiful rendition of “Rocketman” by Elton John. This cover was heartfelt and featured Holly’s giant voice. If I were one of the coaches, I would’ve turned my chair for her too.
Even with Legend blocked, Holly got a four-chair turn before the Elton John song was even half over. As an avid Elton John fan, I can agree this is a song that’s extremely hit or miss, but she totally nailed it. Holly has chosen her team… but the world has yet to find out, the next episode of this NBC show will begin with the reveal of who this singer chose.
