On Tuesday night, America’s Got Talent Season 16 returned for the second week of Semifinals. Eleven acts performed for a spot in the Finals, and now it’s time for viewers to vote for their favorites.
Tonight was the last chance for acts to make it to the finale. Several performers pulled out all the stops, while other acts had some slip-ups. There were quite a few standing ovations from the judges, and viewers at home will likely have a hard time narrowing down their favorites.
Voting is open until Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. ET. We’ll find out tomorrow night during the results show which acts will be moving on to the next round, and which will be eliminated from the competition.

This singing trio went all out for their latest performance, and it paid off. They performed “Every Breath You Take” by the Police, showing off a unique arrangement and energetic dancing. It was a great way to open the show, and the judges loved it.
Howie Mandel praised the “dynamics” of this particular performance, saying they “stepped it up” from previous showings. Heidi Klum was especially excited about the performance, saying they turned the song into a hymn and claiming they were better than Sting. Simon Cowell said the group’s “vocals were insanely good.”

Peter Antoniou’s Psychic Act Goes Wrong
There are probably a lot of skeptical viewers who doubt whether mentalist Peter Antoniou is actually psychic as he claims. What happened during his performance tonight might actually convince you that he’s legit. Or it might just leave you unimpressed.
During the act, Peter had the judges look at various photographs, and he guessed what they were. Unfortunately, he was unable to correctly describe a photograph held by Sofia Vergara, who successfully participated in previous acts with him. He joked that their connection was gone.
The rest of the performance was impressively accurate, as he even seemed to connect Cowell’s mind with host Terry Crews for the final photo. However, Cowell didn’t let him off the hook for his awkward slip-up. Peter explained, “The thing with psychic powers like this is it’s never 100 percent.”
ChapKidz Blow the Roof Off with Their Dance Routine
One of the standout performances of the night came from the dance group ChapKidz, who brought their A game to an energetic routine that had the crowd going wild. They showed off perfectly synchronized moves and even some acrobatic flips. The judges rewarded them with a standing ovation.
Klum told the group that they “danced your way into the Finals,” while Cowell said they had the “best performance of the night so far.” In the Quarterfinals, Vergara predicted that ChapKidz could be the first dance group to win the show, and this latest performance only brought them one step closer to that historic victory.
Brooke Simpson Rocks the ‘America’s Got Talent’ Stage
Singer Brooke Simpson closed the night with a powerhouse performance. Brooke, who previously competed on The Voice, shared that she never saw pop stars who looked like her growing up, and she wants to change that. She chose to sing “Bad Habits” by Ed Sheeran, belting it out like a total pro.
The judges were on their feet by the end of Brooke’s performance. Cowell said she had a “shaky start,” but he added that the second half of the performance was “spectacular.” It was the perfect way to end the Semifinals, as America decides which acts will make it through to the Finals.
