After Viral TikTok, Fans Pressure JoJo Siwa To Come Out As Queer

In her latest TikTok video, JoJo Siwa lip-synched the lyrics of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.” The song is notoriously known as an anthem that pushes the message of self-acceptance and embracing yourself. Many of JoJo’s fans believe that the 17-year-old was actually coming out in the video and is a member of the LGBTQ community.
Fans Think JoJo Siwa Came Out On TikTok
The lyrics of the song featured in JoJo’s TikTok are “No matter gay, straight, or bi, lesbian, transgender life, I’m on the right track baby, I was born to survive.” She sang them with a smile. The video now has over 13.4 million views on TikTok along with it going viral on Twitter. JoJo also joined the LGBTQ TikTok group Pride House in a video where they danced to Paramore’s “Ain’t it Fun.” The lyrics of the song are “now you’re one of us.” Many believe there is a deep message about coming out in both of the videos.
Thousands of JoJo’s loyal followers and supporters took to the comments section on TikTok to show their support. “I’M SO HAPPY FOR YOU” influencer James Charles wrote. “Happy for you JoJo” influencer Bretman Rock wrote. Her brother Jayden Siwa also commented “So happy for you JoJo!!! Love You!”

Others Urged Fans Not To Assume JoJo’s Sexuality
Many people hopped on Twitter to say that fans should not assume JoJo’s sexuality until she confirms it. “JoJo Siwa possibly coming out is cool and all but can people stop like pressuring her to specify on her sexuality/gender? It’s none of our business lol if she wants to specify that’s great but pushing her to do so is very very weird” one person wrote on Twitter.
Another said “you guys pleeeaaaaase don’t assume JoJo Siwa’s sexuality until she fully says she’s queer or not. She could literally just be an ally. If someone is unlabeled, they’re unlabeled.”
“It looks like Jojo Siwa is coming out at LGBTQ+ and honestly, good for her! She is at the height of her fame and is able to sell out arenas. However, she hasn’t explicitly said her sexuality and we need to be respectful of that and let her come out fully on her own time” another person said on Twitter.
In the comments section of JoJo’s latest Instagram post, fans flooded the comments in support of JoJo. They posted tons of rainbow emojis, gay pride flags and rainbow hearts. Others left questions about whether or not JoJo actually came out or was just making a video for fun. “DID U COME OUT OR WHAT?” one person wrote. “DID JOJO JUST COME OUT?” another wrote. There was previously speculation last year on Twitter that JoJo came out as a lesbian.

The former ‘Masked Singer’ contestant has yet to confirm whether or not the TikTok video was a way of coming out. However, she does not have any obligation to clarify the meaning of the video. She can choose to do what she wants and keep some aspects of her life private and her fans will support her no matter what.
