Vinnie Jones receives heartfelt call from Simon ahead of Live Shows
It’s been a tough few months for Vinnie Jones after his wife passed away so close to his X Factor audition and unfortunately missed the opportunity to perform for the judges in Los Angeles. He made his first TV appearance on ‘Good Morning Britain’ after the traumatic event that took place explaining his inner isolation and deep felt sadness. What wasn’t mentioned however was that Vinnie received a phone call from Simon Cowell, a few months after the auditions inviting him to the live shows. In the emotional clip that ran after episode 2 of ‘X Factor: Celebrity‘, Simon invited Vinnie back onto the show for the live shows, joining judge Nicole on ‘Overs’ category.
We’ll never really know whether Simon made the call out of desperation to boost ratings with a typical X Factor sob story or whether he really felt Vinnie Jones deserved a spot without auditioning. Many fans of the show are glad to see Vinnie back after criticism about the spin off show having ‘no celebrities’. Vinnie did in fact agree to come back to the show, under the condition that he wasn’t put with the ‘Little Irish fellow’ to which Simon giggled at. There’s really nothing better than humour at times of grief, so we’re happy to see Vinnie back on the show and look forward to his X Factor debut this Saturday!
‘X Factor’ judges make another surprise change to contestant line up
After huge outrage from fans after TV show star Jenny Ryan was sent home on the previous episode of ‘X Factor: Celebrity’, the judges have decided that she will now return and perform at the live shows. It seems that the judges are taking a more relaxed approach with such decisions and have made it pretty clear that if enough people are against a decision of theirs, they are willing to make a change.
