It was a night of excellence followed by tears as the remaining acts performed for the judges. It was clear that the second round of auditions was fuelled by pure talent, more so than last week which is a relief for all those that hold tight to the idea that The X Factor is still a singing competition!
Olivia gave a heartfelt and emotional performance, managing to sway the judges that she is totally determined to stay in the competition. It’s clear that she’s been out of the showbiz spotlight for quite some time so the nerves were definitely evident.
Jonny definitely managed to make an impression on stage with his swing style performance of ‘Feel it Still’. Not only was it recognised as simply amazing by the judges but even producer David Foster had some kind words to say to the young man. In ‘X Factor’ tradition, there was an unexpected duet between them both afterward which was enough to make up your mind that Jonny is in it to win it!
Wow did Megan bring emotion to the audition stage! Singing an original song that she wrote a few years ago, her performance was tear=jerking throughout. Megan also spoke out, before her song, about her appearance change and her need to express her true self in the show which we are totally on board for. Go, Megan!
If it isn’t the one and only Ricki Lake! Ricki was met with a standing ovation before she even walked onto the stage so it’s clear that she’s brought some much-needed energy to the X Factor auditions. Dedicating her rendition of James Bay’s ‘Us’ in front of the judges, let’s just say it was such a warm and genuine performance.
Five social media stars with hundreds of millions of hits combined, what isn’t to love… although they may not have been totally recognisable to any of the judges, they definitely made their mark tonight after performing Lizzo’s ‘Juice’! This group could be a sensational hit at the live shows.
Victoria brought the house down with her audition and is only making us confused as to why she’s never auditioned in the past. This girl is packed with talent and oh my, can she sing! There’s no doubt that we’re gonna be seeing a lot more of Victoria.
