America’s Got Talent Season 18 is in full swing, as the judges have seen so many amazing auditions. However, fans might be disappointed to learn that there won’t be a new episode of the show this coming Tuesday night.
America’s Got Talent Is Taking a Week Off for July 4
Independence Day falls on a Tuesday this year, which means NBC will not be airing a new episode of AGT auditions on July 4. Instead, the network will be showing the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks special in the talent show’s usual time slot.
This news might come as a bummer for fans who were looking forward to spending the night watching new talent take the stage. However, the change allows people to enjoy any 4th of July festivities they have planned without having to worry about missing the show.
The show is expected to return with a new episode of auditions on Tuesday, July 11. In the meantime, you can catch up on any previous episodes you might have missed, or just watch your favorite auditions again.
It might feel like the audition round is going on forever this season on AGT, especially with the addition of extra Golden Buzzers like the one chosen by the audience. We’ll have to wait a little bit longer before we get to this season’s live shows.
Back in March, NBC confirmed that the live shows for Season 18 will begin on Tuesday, August 22. At that point, the show will begin airing two nights per week, on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The Wednesday night shows will feature results from the previous night’s vote.
It doesn’t look like the Judge Cuts round will be returning this season, so we’ll have to wait and see which of the acts who made it through auditions will appear again in the live shows.
