The TODAY Show announced its lineup for “International Day of the Girl” and it will feature some familiar faces! The special live event happening tomorrow will be presented in partnership with former first lady Michelle Obama and TODAY. It will aim to empower and celebrate girls all over the world. The televised event will also include performances by Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, and Meghan Trainor!
Here are the details we know so far.
The TODAY Show will be talking to Michelle Obama about the importance of education for girls around the world. They will also talk to her about life after the White House and teased a big announcement she will be making! Not only that, but The Voice coaches Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson, as well as The Four judge Meghan Trainor, will all perform a live concert on one stage in front of an audience of girls!
There’s no word on if the three female vocalists will perform together or separately, but either way this is a killer lineup! It must not be a coincidence that all three artists are from talent shows either. Obviously Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson are on NBC’s The Voice so that connection is easy. These powerhouse women will definitely bring down the house! And the fact that they’ll be performing for an audience of women is also amazing.
Tune in to TODAY tomorrow morning to see the live concert as it happens!
