Reading Time: 2 minutes
The Voice Season 25 returned on Monday night for the second half of the Playoffs, as the remaining singers on Reba McEntire and Chance the Rapper’s teams took the stage. During the show, four artists were eliminated from the competition, while six moved on to the live shows.
Who Did Reba McEntire Keep on Her Team in The Voice Playoffs?
The five remaining artists on Reba McEntire’s team performed during Monday’s Playoffs, including the coach’s Playoff Pass recipient, L. Rodgers. She performed “All I Know So Far” by Pink, dedicating the song to her nephew. McEntire said the powerful performance gave her goosebumps.
Also on Team Reba, Asher HaVon took the stage to perform a haunting rendition of “Titanium” by David Guetta and Sia. John Legend compared Asher to Whitney Houston, while McEntire praised how he commanded the stage. She teared up as she shared how proud she is of him.
Monday’s episode also featured a performance from Josh Sanders, who sang “Black Water” by The Doobie Brothers. Legend told him that he took them to church, while McEntire called it Josh’s best performance of the season so far.
Unfortunately, McEntire could only keep three artists on her team to send to the live shows. She chose to keep L. Rodgers, Asher HaVon, and Josh Sanders. That meant we had to say goodbye to Justin and Jeremy Garcia and Jackie Romeo.
Who Made It Through on Team Chance?
Chance the Rapper’s remaining artists also performed during Monday’s Playoffs. That includes Serenity Arce, who performed “Lose You to Love Me” by Selena Gomez. Shay Mooney praised Serenity’s storytelling ability, while Chance told her she deserves a spot in the live shows.
Chance’s Playoff Pass recipient Nadège also took the stage during Monday’s show, singing “Clocks” by Coldplay. McEntire said her voice is “like butter,” while Chance called it one of the best performances he’s seen on The Voice.
Maddi Jane also performed on Team Chance Monday night, singing “Stay” by Rihanna. McEntire praised Maddi’s control over her voice, while Mooney called her “a straight diamond.” He threatened to quit the show if she didn’t make it to the live shows.
Chance could only keep three artists on his team going into the live shows, and he chose Serenity Arce, Nadège, and Maddi Jane. That meant we had to say goodbye to Kyle Schuesler and RLETTO.
