The Voice kicked off its battle rounds and they were even more amazing than expected. There were steals, surprising cuts, and triumphant wins. Having seen this week’s show, will Jej Vinson become the first Filipino artist to win The Voice?
Mel and I thought from the first time he hit the stage in the auditions that Jej Vinson could go all the way. In his battle this week against Beth Griffith-Manley he made us believe again. We’re also Beth was stolen because she is incredible and we can’t wait to hear her again. But regarding Jej Vinson, we cover a lot of these shows and there is always one awesome act from the Philippines that gets far in the competition only to lose at the end. In recent times there was Angelica Hale on AGT, The TNT Boys on The World’s Best, and many others. For some reason acts from the Philippines don’t do as well on American reality shows. Not sure why.
But Jej Vinson is the real deal. He’s got the looks, the voice, and the charisma. We are definitely rooting for him.
