Olivia Jade Makes Prison Joke in New Vlog After Mom Serves Time

Former Dancing with the Stars contestant Olivia Jade Giannulli made a prison joke in a recent YouTube vlog when talking about her plans for redecorating her kitchen. Giannulli’s mother, actress Lori Loughlin, famously served time for her involvement in a college admissions scandal.

“I’m so excited, you guys. I finally ordered wallpaper for the kitchen, so it’s not gonna feel so sterile,” Giannulli says in her vlog, posted on YouTube earlier this week. “It’s not gonna feel like… a prison.”
She was clearly aware of how the comparison sounded, telling viewers to “save the jokes.” Giannulli added, “Don’t want to hear it. I set you up, and I don’t want you to tee off. OK?”
The joke is, of course, that Giannulli’s mother Lori Loughlin served time in prison over a college admissions scandal. She and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were found to have paid $500,000 to get their daughters (Jade and Isabella Rose) admitted to the University of Southern California.
Loughlin served two months in prison, while her husband served five months. As part of their sentencing, they were also forced to pay a total of $400,000. Giannulli said she felt “ashamed and embarrassed” about the situation, adding that she didn’t fully understand what her parents had done.

The YouTuber Is Facing Breakup Rumors
Giannulli and her boyfriend Jacob Elordi have recently been the subject of breakup rumors. On Wednesday, Us Weekly published a report claiming the two broke up. The pair apparently split briefly in 2022 before getting back together.
Meanwhile, TMZ is denying the breakup rumors, with sources telling the outlet that Giannulli and Elordi are still together. They’re apparently in New York City together as Elordi rehearses for his hosting gig on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
Some fans apparently thought the couple might have split because Giannulli appeared to unfollow Elordi on Instagram. However, according to TMZ, it’s unclear if they were ever following each other.
