Nikki Garcia, Artem Chigvintsev to Celebrate Their One-Year Wedding Anniversary Live
During the latest episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Garcia announced that they will be taping a live podcast on August 25. Interestingly, the date is the day before her and Chigvintsev‘s first wedding anniversary. Thus, they decided to make the live show a bit more extraordinary.
“Artem and I thought, well, I did, and Artem’s the best husband and is gonna go along with it,” she said. “We’re gonna renew our vows but in a fun way.”
Garcia believes it will be fun for people to hear “what do you say to your husband or wife when it’s only been a year.” She went on and stated that she expects the moment to be a “roast-and-toast” and even predicts that both of them might cry during the segment.
The podcast twins also invited DWTS Gleb Savchenko on the live show. According to the episode description, there will be “incredible stage production and mesmerizing costume changes.†Furthermore, Chigvintsev and Savchenko have prepared something for the event which Garcia apparently still doesn’t have an idea about.
“I have a feeling that there’s going to be some dancing involved because it’s you and Gleb and that’s what you guys are amazing at,” Garcia said.
The live podcast will take place at at the Gila River Casino Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, Arizona. It’s also revealed that there will be surprises for Chigvintsev during the live podcast recording.
Chigvintsev Talks His Beginning Ahead of Dancing With The Stars
Elsewhere in the podcast, Garcia gushed about their son Matteo getting confused about Chigvintsev and his grandfather.
“We have this photo of his parents framed in the house, and we’ll ask Matteo ‘Who’s this?’,” she said. “So he sees Artem’s mom and he’ll say ‘Grandma’ or ‘Babushka.’ And then he sees Artem’s dad and then he goes ‘Daddy!’ And I’m like, ‘No, it’s your grandpa,’ and he’s like ‘No, Daddy!’â€
According to Garcia, Matteo still doesn’t believe her when she insists that the guy in the picture was his grandfather. This story is clearly a happy memory for the couple, as they want Matteo to create valuable bonding moments with his grandparents. Unfortunately, language barrier remains to be their problem, as Chigvintsev’s parents don’t speak English, and Matteo hasn’t learned German yet.
In the podcast, Garcia also asked her husband about his history before becoming a pro on DWTS. According to him, he first tried hockey and ballet, before pursuing ballroom dancing. At 11 years old, Chigvintsev began winning small competitions around town, and that’s when he decided to take the sport seriously.Â
