Mariah Carey Allegedly Wants Primary Custody Of Her Twins With Nick Cannon

Pop diva Mariah Carey might be standing in court once more to battle The Masked Singer host and ex-husband Nick Cannon. An unknown source has recently claimed that the Queen of Christmas eagerly wants to obtain primary custody of her twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
Mariah Carey Reportedly Hopes to Gain Full Custody Over Her Twins
While Carey doesn’t intensively keep up with Cannon’s growing family, she nevertheless knows that her former lover has been spread thin with having 12 kids. This has perhaps reflected in his not-so considerable quality time with Carey’s twins.
“The reality of the situation is that Monroe and Moroccan are usually with Mariah anyway,” the insider said. “Nick doesn’t see much of them.”
According to the source, Carey wants to tell Cannon that he cannot simply “flit in and out of their lives” as he attempts to make it work with his other children. Consequently, the pop singer is allegedly thinking of requesting the court to be her children’s primary caregiver.
For those who may not know, Carey and Cannon have finalized their divorce back in 2016. Be that as it may, the two didn’t let the situation hinder their parenting, thus having an amicable custody arrangement since then.
She Still Thinks That Cannon is a Great Father
According to the insider, Carey is not at all trying to punish her ex-husband. The same person clarified that the diva deems Cannon as a doting father to Moroccan and Monroe. However, Carey feels obligated to do what’s best for her twins, and that includes her primary custody rights over them.
The public’s unhappy comments about Cannon’s family setup have never been hidden over the years. Apparently, even Cannon admits that he’s having a hard time adjusting his schedule for his many children. Despite so, his baby mommies vouch that he’s doing well as a father.
Bre Tiesi, who welcomed son Legendary Love with Cannon last year, has praised The Masked Singer host’s parenting. For her, he is the type of father who is happy and consistent. She also said that Cannon always “shows up for his kids.”
