The series birthed some of our favorite bands like Day26, DaBand, and Danity Kane. \n\n\n\nDanity Kane - Making The Band\n\n\n\nAt its debut in the early 2000's, no one could've predicted the impact the show would have on the world. The show originally premiered on ABC, conceptualized by ponzi schemer Lou Pearlman. Diddy took over the franchise in 2002, joining forces with MTV to find the next chart-topping sensation. \n\n\n\nCombs acted as a judge, host, and mentor for the series showcasing 'the man behind the mask' and his passion for artistry. \n\n\n\nDiddy Loves Cheesecake\n\n\n\nSide note - We can't write about Making The Band without mentioning the infamous cheesecake moment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBack in Season 2, Diddy demanded a slice of cheesecake from his favorite spot in New York, Junior's Cheesecake. This forced members of 'Da Band' to walk from mid-town Manhattan to Brooklyn! That's 10 miles JUST to take care of the music moguls sweet tooth! We hope to see more moments like this one on the upcoming season. \n\n\n\nDa Band - Making The Band\n\n\n\nHow To Audition\n\n\n\nDiddy added that there will be an open casting call across all social media platforms including, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram, by using the hashtag #MTBCasting.
