Jennifer Lawrence is setting the record straight on whether she’s had plastic surgery or not. The Hunger Games star recently received accusations from online critics who believe she went under the knife.
Jennifer Lawrence Denies Plastic Surgery Rumors
In a brand-new interview, Lawrence talked to socialite Kylie Jenner about how powerful makeup is, and how it can entirely alter one’s look. The actress went on to discuss how her makeup artist Hung Vanngo’s commendable skills made people believe that she’s had plastic surgery.
“I also think it’s incredible what makeup can do because I work with Hung, who overlines the lip. I call him a plastic surgeon because everybody in the last few months since I’ve been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery,” she said.
The No Hard Feelings star sparked cosmetic surgery rumors after she attended the Dior Fashion Show. Fans then pointed out how she looked slightly different from the last time. Yet, despite the internet alleging that she’s gotten lip fillers and a nose job, Lawrence maintained that her face changed simply because she aged.
“I started at 19, so I get the before-and-after pictures from when I’m 19 to 30, and I’m like, ‘I grew up. I lost baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I’m aging.’ Everybody thought I had a nose job, and I’m like, ‘I’ve had the exact same nose. My cheeks got smaller. Thank you for bringing it up,'” she said.

Jenner, who apparently suffered from the same accusations, also spoke up about her own experience. The Kylie Cosmetics founder clapped back at the rumors, stating that she didn’t get anything except lip fillers.
“I’ll see before and after photos when I’m 12 years old versus 26 and my eyebrows are filled differently. I have contour on,” she said. “I’m like, ‘How can you compare my 12-year-old face and say I’ve gotten my jaw shaved and eyelids removed?’ I’m like, ‘What are we talking about?'”
She Talks How She Teaches Her Son to Address Their Security Staff
Elsewhere in the interview, Lawrence also shared how her son is living with security guards around him. As admitted by the actress, she “didn’t have that much security” until she welcomed her son Cy in early 2022.
“With my intrusive thoughts and anxiety, I wanted us to have security around all the time,” she said.
According to Lawrence, she initially wanted their security staff to be as low-key as possible. Nonetheless, she later realized that her son should have at least a casual relationship with people in their home.
“Friendly is nice because before I hired them, in my mind I was like, I want them to be invisible. I don’t want my kid to see you or know you,” she said. “And then once they start working for you, it’s like, ‘Well, wait. This is a person in our life. He’s helping us.”
The Passengers actress went on and stated that ignoring people that help them is “not really a good lesson.”
“It’s probably better to say, ‘Say good morning to Sean. Hi. How are you?’ We’ve incorporated them more in our lives, which surprised me. That wasn’t how I planned it,” she said.
In 2021, the Hollywood A-lister expressed her desire to keep her family affairs private. Her opinion on this matter further strengthened after she confirmed her pregnancy.
“Every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can,” she said. “I don’t want anyone to feel welcome into their existence. And I feel like that just starts with not including them in this part of my work.”
