Is Len Goodman Leaving ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Next Season?
Reading Time: 2 minutes
As Dancing with the Stars moves to Disney+ next season, could longtime judge Len Goodman be leaving the judging panel? Some fans think he won’t be returning to the show, as the other three judges have already been confirmed.
Will Len Goodman Return to ‘Dancing with the Stars’?
According to Heavy.com, some fans are speculating that Goodman might be out at DWTS for the upcoming Season 31, which will stream on Disney+ rather than airing on its usual network, ABC.
The show’s three other judges (Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli) have all confirmed that they are returning to the ballroom next season. Tonioli is even leaving the judging table on Strictly Come Dancing to focus more on DWTS.
However, there has been no confirmation yet that Goodman will be back at the table. When a fan on Twitter suggested that he could be replaced by someone else, insider Kristyn Burtt added that there might be “three judges if there are budget cuts.”
The show kept three judges in Season 29, when Goodman was unable to travel due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Hough replaced him on the panel, and they both returned in Season 30 as part of a four-judge table.

Goodman Faced Backlash Over Recent Comments
During a BBC segment on Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee earlier this month, Goodman received backlash for comments he made that some are calling racist. The offending remark came when he was explaining that his wife had made coronation chicken.
“I’ve never had, you know, curry and curry powder,” Goodman said. “No. My nan used to call it all ‘foreign muck,’ so I’ve always been worried about it. But I must say, it was delicious. It was so tasty.”
Host Clare Balding later apologized for Goodman’s comments, but many on social media still took issue with his choice of words. One user called it “appalling” and added, “We forgive older generations for things like this too much.”
What do you think? Is it time for Goodman to exit his spot at the DWTS judging table? Do you prefer three judges or four? Let us know in the comments below.
