Benson Boone’s Ex-Girlfriend Hints That He Cheated on Her

Former American Idol contestant Benson Boone’s ex-girlfriend Maggie Thurmon seemed to spill some serious tea on TikTok earlier this week, hinting that Boone cheated on her. Thurmon has since deleted the video, but that didn’t stop fans from talking about it.
Benson Boone’s Ex-Girlfriend Hints at Cheating
Benson Boone and Maggie Thurmon were first linked in 2024. Last month, TMZ confirmed their split after fans noticed they had unfollowed each other on social media. Around the same time, Boone seemed to hint at a breakup during one of his concerts.
“Sometimes people leave your life. Whether it’s the right thing or the wrong thing. And it is always hard, always, every single time. And it sucks,” Boone said. “And it sucks to sit in it, and it sucks to be sad about it, and it sucks to feel that so hard sometimes. But it’s okay, it’s life. It happens. And as terrible as it is, there’s always something or someone who can pull you out of it.”
In a TikTok video posted earlier this week, Thurmon lip-synced to a sound clip from The Office, in which she responded to the question “Remember how it felt when he cheated on you, though?” with the words, “Which time?”
A fan in the comments of the video wrote, “bro if benson cheated i will turn this car right around,” to which Thurmon replied, “Put your blinker on babe.” That was all the confirmation fans needed.

Thurmon Has Deleted the Video
The video of Maggie Thurmon seeming to accuse Benson Boone of cheating on her has since been deleted. In the comments of another video from earlier this month, Thurmon wrote, “I got overwhelmed. I’ve always been a more private online person, tonight I remembered why. Thank you to everyone who was sending love, I appreciate yall so much.”
Erin Lim Rhodes of E! The Rundown shared her thoughts about the situation on Instagram, even going so far as to speculate who Boone might have cheated with. Rhodes pointed out that around the time of their split, Boone and Thurmon both unfollowed Boone’s friend Kylee Anderson.
In August, Anderson released a song called “Benny,” which is a nickname she has used for Boone in the past. According to Rhodes, this song is “all about a secret love affair between two friends.” Anderson’s co-star in the music video also has a mustache similar to Boone’s.
