Gwen Stefani Reacts to Niall Horan’s Blake Shelton Impression
Horan sat next to Shelton during his final season on The Voice earlier this year, and he said they “had such a laugh,” adding that “what you see with Blake is what you get, on camera, off camera.” He called Shelton the “nicest guy in the world.”
The One Direction star then tried to show off his impression of Shelton, saying in a Southern accent, “This is my wife, Gwen Stefani.” That made Stefani laugh, as Horan continued, “I would love you to be on my team.”
Hudson then told Horan that he needed to be “a little louder” to really capture Shelton’s way of speaking. So he dialed up the volume a little bit, and the host thought he nailed it. Hudson asked Stefani what she thought.
“I love this guy. I love Blake. I love The Voice,” Stefani said. “It’s been so much fun. So much fun.”

Stefani Reflects on Her Early Days in Music
Hudson asked Stefani about how she got started in music, and the No Doubt singer shared that her older brother Eric was in the band with her for nine years when they were first starting out. However, after their first album Tragic Kingdom, he left the band to work as an animator.
“That’s how we started,” Stefani said. “We were just doing it for procrastination from going to school, and having a job. We just did it for fun.”
She called it “the good old days,” saying she sometimes wonders whether things were better before or after they gained recognition. She recalled of the early days, “There was Del Taco and finding dimes at the bottom of the car to try to get something to eat after rehearsals.”
