Gabrielle Union is relaxing and enjoying family time after the recent scandal involving her firing from AGT. The former judge has been posting Instagram photos from her Hawaiian vacation.
The actress went on the trip with her husband Dwyane Wade, their baby daughter Kaavia, Dwyane’s son Zion, and Gabrielle’s sister Tracy. Gabrielle posted that this is the family’s first holiday trip since Dwyane retired from basketball.

Gabrielle has been posting plenty of photos and videos from her family vacation on Instagram, and it looks like she and her family are having a great time. They even posed for photos in matching Christmas pajamas.

The Bring It On star hasn’t made explicit reference to the recent controversy with AGT, but she did say she was “at peace” during the trip. In another post, she struts toward the camera in a bathing suit while Blondie’s “The Tide Is High” plays.
Gabrielle quoted the song in the video’s caption, writing, “I’m not the kind of girl who gives up juuuuuust like thaaaaat. Oh nooOOOooo!” We’ll take that as a message that she’s not letting the scandal get her down.
She’s apparently keeping that attitude moving into 2020. She captioned a photo of baby Kaavia by saying she’ll be channeling her daughter in the new year, “Unbothered with a small side of flatulence.”
Gabrielle Speaks Out About ‘AGT’ Firing
Shortly after it was announced that Gabrille Union and Julianne Hough would not be returning for Season 15 of AGT, reports emerged about why Gabrielle was apparently let go.
The actress reportedly spoke up about racist behavior and a “toxic culture” on set. She has since met with NBC about the issues, and an investigation has apparently been launched.

Gabrielle recently referenced the situation in a panel discussion for black women pursuing careers in entertainment and fashion. “Keep the door open … don’t be the happy negro that does the bidding of the status quo because you’re afraid,” she said. “Don’t allow them to call you angry. When somebody else is saying the same thing, it’s called passion.”
She pointedly added that “there is a chance you might lose your job.”
