During this week’s new episode of AGT: All-Stars, Detroit Youth Choir received a Golden Buzzer from host Terry Crews. He previously hit the Golden Buzzer for the group in Season 14. This is the first time in AGT history that an act has earned two Golden Buzzers from the same person.
Detroit Youth Choir Earns Two AGT Golden Buzzers from Terry Crews
In Season 14, AGT host Terry Crews hit the Golden Buzzer for Detroit Youth Choir’s audition, sending them straight to the live shows. They ended up finishing the competition in second place, behind winner Kodi Lee.
The group returned to the stage this week for AGT: All-Stars, delivering an electrifying performance of “Thunder” by Imagine Dragons. It was Crews’ night to hit the Golden Buzzer, and he chose to give them the honor for a second time.
“Mr. White, you have changed the lives of thousands of young men and women all over,” Crews told the choir’s director, Anthony White. “And for what you have done for the city of Detroit, for what you have done in this world, one Golden Buzzer is not enough.”
Detroit Youth Choir will now move on to the All-Stars Finals, where they’ll perform once again for the chance to be named the best of the best.

Which Other Acts Have Earned Two Golden Buzzers?
Detroit Youth Choir may be the first AGT act to earn two Golden Buzzers from the same person, but they’re not the first to earn two Golden Buzzers at all. That honor belongs to singer Angelica Hale.
Angelica first earned the Golden Buzzer from guest judge Chris Hardwick in Season 12. She went on to finish the season in second place behind Darci Lynne. Then in the first season of AGT: The Champions, Angelica earned another Golden Buzzer from judge Howie Mandel.
Dance group V. Unbeatable also earned two Golden Buzzers — first from guest judge Dwyane Wade in Season 14, and later from Mandel on The Champions. They went on to win the second season of the spin-off.
Another act who’s earned two Golden Buzzers is Alfredo Silva, who first earned one from Heidi Klum on The Champions as part of his act Deadly Games. He later earned another one from Terry Crews on AGT: Extreme as part of his act Alfredo Silva’s Cage Riders.
This season’s first AGT: All-Stars Golden Buzzer Light Balance Kids also received the honor in the past. In Season 14, guest judge Ellie Kemper hit the Golden Buzzer for them. During All-Stars, Mandel did the honors.
